The "Send Later" feature in Apple Mail!
The "Send Later" feature allows you to schedule an email to be sent at a later time. Here's how to use it:
Method 1: Using the "Send Later" button
- Compose a new email in Apple Mail.
- Click on the "Send" button in the top-right corner of the window.
- A dropdown menu will appear. Click on "Send Later" from the menu.
- Choose a time and date from the calendar that appears.
- Click "Schedule" to send the email at the chosen time.
Method 2: Using the "Delay Sending" option
- Compose a new email in Apple Mail.
- Click on the "Send" button in the top-right corner of the window.
- A dropdown menu will appear. Click on "Delay Sending" from the menu.
- Choose a delay time from the options (e.g., 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.).
- Click "Send" to send the email with the chosen delay.
Note: The "Send Later" feature is only available in Apple Mail on macOS. If you're using Apple Mail on iOS or iPadOS, you won't see this feature.
Tips:
- You can only schedule emails to be sent up to 24 hours in advance.
- If you schedule an email to be sent at a time when you're not connected to the internet, the email will be sent as soon as you reconnect.
- You can cancel a scheduled email by going to the "Mail" menu and selecting "Scheduled Messages" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + S).
