Apple mail schedule sending email

In Apple Mail, you can schedule sending an email at a later time using the "Send Later" feature. Here's how:

Method 1: Using the "Send Later" button

  1. Compose your email as usual.
  2. Click on the "Send" button in the top-right corner of the window.
  3. Instead of clicking "Send" immediately, click on the "Send Later" button that appears.
  4. Choose a time and date from the calendar that appears.
  5. Click "Schedule" to schedule the email to be sent at the chosen time.

Method 2: Using the "Delay Sending" option

  1. Compose your email as usual.
  2. Click on the "Send" button in the top-right corner of the window.
  3. Hold down the "Option" (or "Alt") key while clicking on the "Send" button.
  4. A dropdown menu will appear with the option "Delay Sending".
  5. Choose a time and date from the calendar that appears.
  6. Click "Send" to schedule the email to be sent at the chosen time.

Method 3: Using the "Rules" feature

  1. Go to Mail > Preferences > Rules.
  2. Click on the "+" button to create a new rule.
  3. Set up the rule to apply to the email you want to schedule.
  4. In the "Perform the following actions" section, select "Delay sending by" and choose a time and date.
  5. Click "Save" to save the rule.

In all cases, the email will be sent at the scheduled time, even if you're not actively using your Mac or iPhone. Note that the "Send Later" feature is only available in Apple Mail on Mac, and not on iPhone or iPad.
