Apple mail search date range
To search for emails in Apple Mail using a date range, you can follow these steps:
- Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
- Click on the "Mail" menu and select "Search" or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + F.
- In the search field, type in the criteria you want to search for, such as a sender's name, recipient's name, subject, or keywords.
- Click on the "Date" dropdown menu and select "Custom Date Range".
- Choose the start and end dates for your search by clicking on the calendar icons or typing in the dates in the format "YYYY-MM-DD".
- You can also use the "Before" and "After" options to search for emails that were sent before or after a specific date.
- Click on the "Search" button to run the search.
Alternatively, you can also use the "Smart Mailbox" feature in Apple Mail to create a custom search folder that searches for emails within a specific date range. To do this:
- Click on the "Mail" menu and select "Preferences".
- Click on the "Smart Mailboxes" tab.
- Click on the "+" button to create a new smart mailbox.
- Name the smart mailbox and set the criteria for the search, including the date range.
- Click on the "OK" button to save the smart mailbox.
- To view the emails that match the search criteria, click on the smart mailbox in the sidebar.
