Apple mail select all messages don't merge in one email

A common issue!

When you select multiple messages in Apple Mail and try to forward or reply to all of them, you might notice that they get merged into a single email. This can be frustrating if you want to keep each message separate.

Here's a workaround to select all messages without merging them:

  1. Select the first message: Click on the first message you want to select.
  2. Hold the Command (⌘) key: While holding the Command key, click on each subsequent message you want to select. This will add each message to the selection without merging them.
  3. Release the Command key: Once you've selected all the messages you want, release the Command key.

Alternatively, you can use the Shift key to select a range of messages:

  1. Select the first message: Click on the first message you want to select.
  2. Hold the Shift key: While holding the Shift key, click on the last message you want to select. This will select all messages between the first and last message you clicked.

Now, when you try to forward or reply to all the selected messages, they should remain separate emails.

Note: This trick works in Apple Mail on macOS, but the behavior might vary in other email clients or platforms.
