Apple mail setup imap account

To set up an IMAP account in Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Apple Mail

Step 4: Set Up Your SMTP Settings

• Enter the following SMTP settings:
  • Host Name: smtp.yourdomain.com (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name)
  • User Name: your email address
  • Password: your email password
  • Port: 587 (or the port number specified by your email provider)
• Click "Continue" or "Next" to proceed.

Step 5: Verify Your Account Settings

• Apple Mail will verify your account settings. If everything is correct, you'll see a success message.
• If you encounter any issues, you may need to check your account settings or contact your email provider for assistance.

Step 6: Set Up Your Account

• Once your account is verified, you can set up your account settings as desired.
• You can choose to sync your email, contacts, and calendars, and set up any additional settings as needed.
