Apple mail specify junk mail

To specify junk mail in Apple Mail on a Mac, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail and select the mailbox you want to manage.
  2. Click on the "Junk" menu at the top of the screen and select "Mark as Junk Mail" or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + J.
  3. Apple Mail will then move the selected message to the "Junk" mailbox.
  4. To mark multiple messages as junk mail at once, select them by holding down the Command key while clicking on each message.
  5. Once you've marked the messages as junk mail, you can delete them by selecting the "Junk" mailbox and clicking on the "Delete" button or using the keyboard shortcut Command + Delete.

Alternatively, you can also use the "Junk Mail" filter in Apple Mail to automatically move messages that are likely to be junk mail to the "Junk" mailbox. To do this:

  1. Open Apple Mail and select the mailbox you want to manage.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen and select "Preferences".
  3. Click on the "Rules" tab.
  4. Click on the "Add Rule" button.
  5. Select "Junk Mail" as the condition and choose the criteria you want to use to identify junk mail (e.g. sender, subject, etc.).
  6. Choose the action you want to take when the rule is triggered (e.g. move to "Junk" mailbox).
  7. Click "OK" to save the rule.

Apple Mail will then automatically apply the rule to incoming messages and move them to the "Junk" mailbox if they match the criteria you specified.
