Apple mail unread smart mailbox
A very specific question!
The "Unread" smart mailbox in Apple Mail is a feature that allows you to see the number of unread emails in your mailbox, right in the Mail app's sidebar. Here's how to use it:
Enabling the Unread smart mailbox:
- Open the Mail app on your Mac or iOS device.
- Click or tap on the "Mailboxes" button in the top-left corner of the screen (or swipe left from the left edge of the screen on iOS).
- Select "Smart Mailboxes" from the dropdown menu.
- Click or tap on the "+" button at the bottom of the screen.
- Select "Unread" from the list of available smart mailboxes.
Customizing the Unread smart mailbox:
- Click or tap on the "Edit" button next to the "Unread" smart mailbox.
- In the "Unread" smart mailbox settings, you can choose which accounts and mailboxes you want to include in the count.
- You can also choose to show the count for all unread emails, or only for emails that are unread in the current mailbox.
Using the Unread smart mailbox:
- Once you've enabled the Unread smart mailbox, you'll see the number of unread emails in the sidebar, next to the mailbox name.
- Click or tap on the mailbox name to view the unread emails.
- You can also use the "Unread" smart mailbox as a filter to quickly find all unread emails in your mailbox.
I hope that helps!
