Apply labels to old mail in gmail

To apply labels to old mail in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Gmail search bar

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the search bar at the top of the page.
  3. Type in the search query: is:unread (or is:read if you want to label all read emails).
  4. Press Enter to execute the search.
  5. In the search results, select the checkbox next to the first email.
  6. Hold down the Shift key and select the last email in the search results.
  7. Right-click on the selected emails and choose "Apply label" from the context menu.
  8. Select the label you want to apply from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click on the "Labels" tab on the left-hand side of the page.
