When you archive an email in Gmail, it moves it to the "All Mail" label, which is a default label that includes all your emails. Archiving an email does not delete it, but it removes it from your inbox and makes it harder to find. If you want to find an archived email, you can search for it using the search bar at the top of the Gmail page.

Note: You can also use the "Mark as read" option to mark an email as read, which will move it to the "All Mail" label, but it will not be archived.
