Archive windows live mail
Windows Live Mail (WLM) is a discontinued email client, and Microsoft has stopped supporting it. However, you can still access and archive your WLM emails using the following methods:
Method 1: Export emails to PST file
- Open Windows Live Mail and go to File > Export.
- Select Export to a file and choose Personal Folders File (.pst).
- Choose the folder you want to export (e.g., Inbox, Sent Items, etc.).
- Select a location to save the exported file.
- Click Export to start the export process.
Method 2: Export emails to EML files
- Open Windows Live Mail and go to File > Export.
- Select Export to a file and choose Email messages (.eml).
- Choose the folder you want to export (e.g., Inbox, Sent Items, etc.).
- Select a location to save the exported files.
- Click Export to start the export process.
Method 3: Use a third-party tool
There are several third-party tools available that can help you archive your WLM emails, such as:
- EML Viewer: A free tool that can export WLM emails to EML files.
- WLM Backup: A paid tool that can backup and export WLM emails to PST, EML, or MSG files.
- MailDroid: A paid tool that can export WLM emails to EML, PST, or MSG files.
Method 4: Use Outlook
If you have Outlook installed on your computer, you can import your WLM emails into Outlook using the following steps:
- Open Outlook and go to File > Open & Export.
- Select Import/Export and choose Export to a file.
- Choose Personal Folders File (.pst) and select the WLM export file you created earlier.
- Follow the prompts to import the emails into Outlook.
Remember to always back up your emails before exporting them, as this will ensure that you have a copy of your emails in case something goes wrong during the export process.
