Archived email in gmail

Archiving an email in Gmail is a way to move it out of your inbox and store it in a separate folder, while still keeping it accessible. Here's how to do it:

Method 1: Archiving an email from the inbox

  1. Open your Gmail inbox and find the email you want to archive.
  2. Check the box next to the email to select it.
  3. Click on the "Archive" button in the top toolbar. It looks like a box with a downward arrow.

Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut:

Method 2: Archiving an email from the email itself

  1. Open the email you want to archive.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Archive" from the dropdown menu.

Method 3: Archiving multiple emails at once

  1. Select multiple emails by checking the boxes next to them.
  2. Click on the "More" menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select "Archive" from the dropdown menu.

What happens when you archive an email?

When you archive an email, it moves out of your inbox and into your "All Mail" folder. This folder contains all your emails, including archived ones. You can still search for and find archived emails using Gmail's search function.

How to find archived emails

  1. Go to your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click on the "More" menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select "All Mail" from the dropdown menu.
  4. You can also use the search function to find archived emails by using the "in:all" operator, like this: in:all subject:yoursearchterm

I hope that helps!
