Are 2018 anual social security statements mailed

According to the Social Security Administration (SSA), the annual Social Security statements were discontinued in 2011. Instead, the SSA now provides online statements to workers aged 18 and older who are not yet receiving benefits.

In 2011, the SSA stopped mailing paper statements to workers aged 25 and older who were not receiving benefits. This change was made to reduce costs and to encourage workers to access their statements online.

However, workers aged 18-24 and those who are not yet receiving benefits can still access their online statements. To access your online statement, you can:

  1. Create a my Social Security account on the SSA's website.
  2. Log in to your account and click on the "Statement" tab.
  3. Follow the prompts to access your statement.

Keep in mind that your online statement will not include your actual Social Security number, but it will provide an estimate of your future benefits based on your earnings record.

If you're having trouble accessing your online statement or have questions about your benefits, you can contact the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 or visit your local SSA office.
