Are we getting another stimulus check in the mail

As of now, there is no official announcement from the government about sending out another stimulus check. The last stimulus check was part of the CARES Act, which was signed into law in March 2020. The CARES Act provided for one-time payments of up to $1,200 per individual and $2,400 per married couple, as well as an additional $500 per child.

However, there have been ongoing discussions and proposals for additional stimulus checks or economic relief measures. For example:

  1. The HEROES Act: In May 2020, the House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act, which included a provision for another round of stimulus checks, worth up to $1,200 per individual and $2,400 per married couple. However, the bill did not pass the Senate.
  2. The COVID-19 relief package: In December 2020, Congress passed a COVID-19 relief package that included a second round of stimulus checks, worth up to $600 per individual and $1,200 per married couple. However, this package did not include additional stimulus checks.
  3. Ongoing discussions: There are ongoing discussions and proposals for additional stimulus checks or economic relief measures, particularly as the pandemic continues to affect the economy. However, there is no guarantee that another stimulus check will be sent out.

It's essential to stay informed about any updates or changes to the stimulus check program through official government channels, such as the IRS website or the White House website.
