Att and yahoo mail

A blast from the past!

ATT (formerly known as AT&T) and Yahoo! Mail have a long history together. Here's a brief overview:

Early Days: In the late 1990s, AT&T acquired a stake in Yahoo! and became a major investor in the company. As a result, Yahoo! Mail was initially powered by AT&T's email infrastructure.

Partnership: In 2001, AT&T and Yahoo! formed a strategic partnership to offer co-branded email services. This partnership allowed AT&T to offer Yahoo! Mail to its customers, and Yahoo! to leverage AT&T's infrastructure and expertise.

Integration: In 2004, AT&T and Yahoo! integrated their email services, allowing users to access their Yahoo! Mail accounts through AT&T's email platform. This integration also enabled features like single sign-on and unified messaging.

Separation: In 2006, AT&T and Yahoo! ended their partnership, and Yahoo! Mail became a standalone service. AT&T continued to offer its own email services, including AT&T Yahoo! Mail, which was a rebranded version of Yahoo! Mail.

Current Status: Today, AT&T and Yahoo! are separate companies, and their email services are no longer integrated. AT&T offers its own email services, such as AT&T Mail, while Yahoo! Mail remains a popular email service with millions of users.

Legacy: The partnership between AT&T and Yahoo! played a significant role in shaping the email landscape in the early 2000s. It also helped establish Yahoo! Mail as a major player in the email market, which it remains to this day.
