- You can only hold mail for a maximum of 3 months at a time.
- If you need to extend the hold period, you'll need to request a new hold.
Tips and reminders
- Make sure to request the hold at least 5 business days before you want it to start.
- If you're moving, you may need to update your address with Australia Post separately.
- If you're going to be away for an extended period, you may want to consider redirecting your mail to a different address using Australia Post's Mail Redirection service.
By using Australia Post's Temporary Hold Mail service, you can ensure that your mail is safe and secure while you're away, and you can collect it when you return.
