Australia post unwanted mail
The frustration of receiving unwanted mail! Australia Post has a process in place to help you manage unwanted mail, including:
- Opt-out of catalogues and promotional mail: You can opt-out of receiving catalogues and promotional mail from Australia Post and other organizations by registering on the Australian Direct Marketing Association's (ADMA) website.
- Register for the National Do Not Mail List: The Australian Government's National Do Not Mail List allows you to register your contact details to reduce the amount of unsolicited mail you receive. You can register online or by calling 1800 020 008.
- Contact Australia Post: If you're receiving unwanted mail from Australia Post, you can contact their customer service team to request that they stop sending you mail. You can do this by:
- Calling 13 13 18 (within Australia) or +61 3 8847 9045 (from overseas)
- Emailing [email protected]
- Visiting your local post office
- Report unwanted mail to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA): If you're receiving unwanted mail that is considered spam or junk mail, you can report it to the ACMA. They may take action against the sender if they are found to be in breach of the Spam Act 2003.
- Consider using a mail filter: You can also use a mail filter or a service like MailGuard to help block unwanted mail from reaching your mailbox.
