Avast can't turn off e mail signature

Frustrating!

Avast's Email Signature feature is designed to protect you from phishing attacks by adding a signature to your emails that warns recipients that the email may be a phishing attempt. However, if you're finding it annoying or want to disable it for some reason, here are a few ways to turn it off:

Method 1: Disable Email Signature through Avast Settings

  1. Open Avast Antivirus and go to the "Settings" (or "Preferences" on Mac).
  2. Click on "Protection" and then "Emails".
  3. Look for the "Email Signature" option and toggle the switch to the "Off" position.

Method 2: Disable Email Signature through Outlook (Windows)

  1. Open Outlook and go to "File" > "Options" > "Advanced".
  2. Scroll down to the "Send and Receive" section.
  3. Uncheck the box next to "Add Avast Email Signature to outgoing messages".

Method 3: Disable Email Signature through Mozilla Thunderbird (Windows/Mac)

  1. Open Thunderbird and go to "Edit" > "Preferences" (or "Thunderbird" > "Preferences" on Mac).
  2. Click on "Composition" and then "Advanced".
  3. Look for the "Add Avast Email Signature to outgoing messages" option and uncheck the box.

Method 4: Disable Email Signature through Avast's Browser Extension (Chrome/Firefox)

  1. Open your browser (Chrome or Firefox) and go to the Avast browser extension settings.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots (or the Avast icon) and select "Options".
  3. Scroll down to the "Email Signature" section and toggle the switch to the "Off" position.

If none of these methods work, you can try restarting your email client or browser, or contact Avast support for further assistance.
