Backup windows live mail and import

Windows Live Mail (WLM) is a popular email client, but it's no longer supported by Microsoft. However, you can still backup and import your WLM data to other email clients or services. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you do so:

Backup Windows Live Mail:

  1. Export emails: Go to File > Export > Email Messages. Choose the format as "EML" and select the folder you want to export (e.g., Inbox, Sent Items, etc.). You can also export contacts, calendar, and tasks separately.
  2. Export contacts: Go to File > Export > Contacts. Choose the format as "CSV" or "VCF" and select the contacts you want to export.
  3. Export calendar: Go to File > Export > Calendar. Choose the format as "iCal" or "CSV" and select the calendar items you want to export.
  4. Export tasks: Go to File > Export > Tasks. Choose the format as "CSV" and select the tasks you want to export.
