Bcc en mail
The "bcc" in email!
"Bcc" stands for "blind carbon copy". When you use the "bcc" field in an email, you can add recipients' email addresses without them being visible to other recipients on the "to" or "cc" fields.
Here's how it works:
- When you add an email address to the "to" field, the recipient's email address is visible to everyone else on the "to" and "cc" fields.
- When you add an email address to the "cc" field, the recipient's email address is visible to everyone else on the "to" and "cc" fields, but they are also copied on the email.
- When you add an email address to the "bcc" field, the recipient's email address is not visible to anyone else on the "to" or "cc" fields, but they still receive a copy of the email.
The purpose of using "bcc" is to keep the recipient's email address private, often for sensitive or confidential information. For example, you might use "bcc" to send a newsletter or announcement to a large group of people without revealing their email addresses to each other.
However, it's worth noting that using "bcc" can also be used to send spam or unwanted emails, so it's important to use it responsibly and only for legitimate purposes.
Here's an example of how to use "bcc" in an email:
- In your email client, compose a new email and add the recipients you want to send the email to in the "to" field.
- Add any additional recipients you want to send the email to in the "cc" field.
- Add any recipients you want to send the email to without revealing their email addresses to others in the "bcc" field.
- Write your email and click send.
Remember to use "bcc" responsibly and only for legitimate purposes.
