Bcc mail in outlook
The classic "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy) feature in Outlook!
BCC allows you to send an email to multiple recipients without including their email addresses in the "To" or "CC" fields. This can be useful when you want to keep the recipient list private or avoid cluttering the email with a long list of recipients.
Here's how to use BCC in Outlook:
Method 1: Using the BCC field in the compose window
- Open Outlook and compose a new email.
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the primary recipient (the person you want to send the email to).
- Click on the "BCC" field located below the "To" field.
- Enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to blind copy (separate multiple addresses with semicolons).
- Click "Send" to send the email.
Method 2: Using the "BCC" button in the ribbon
- Open Outlook and compose a new email.
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the primary recipient (the person you want to send the email to).
- Click on the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "BCC" button in the "Tags" group.
- Enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to blind copy (separate multiple addresses with semicolons).
- Click "OK" to add the BCC recipients.
- Click "Send" to send the email.
Tips and considerations
- When using BCC, the email will only be visible to the primary recipient (the person you entered in the "To" field).
- The BCC recipients will not receive a copy of the email in their "Sent Items" folder.
- If you need to send an email to multiple recipients and keep the recipient list private, you can use BCC. However, if you need to send an email to a large number of recipients, you may want to consider using a distribution list or a mailing list service.
- Be cautious when using BCC, as it can be used to spam or harass recipients. Always use BCC responsibly and in accordance with your organization's email policies.
