Bcc mail recipients means

A blast from the past!

bcc stands for "blind carbon copy". It's a feature in email clients that allows you to send an email to multiple recipients without including their email addresses in the "To" or "CC" fields.

When you use bcc, the email is sent to each recipient's email address, but their addresses are not visible to the other recipients. This means that each recipient only sees their own email address in the "To" field, and not the email addresses of the other recipients.

Here are some common use cases for bcc:

  1. Privacy: You might use bcc to send an email to multiple people without revealing their email addresses to each other.
  2. Mass emails: Bcc is useful when you need to send the same email to a large number of people, without creating a long list of recipients in the "To" or "CC" fields.
  3. Confidentiality: In some cases, you might need to send an email to multiple people, but you don't want them to know who else received the email. Bcc helps maintain confidentiality.

However, it's worth noting that bcc is not foolproof, and some email clients or services might still reveal the email addresses of the other recipients. Additionally, using bcc can sometimes lead to issues with email deliverability or spam filters.

In modern times, bcc is less commonly used due to the rise of group email features and collaboration tools. Nevertheless, it's still a useful feature in certain situations.
