Bigpond incoming mail settings
To set up incoming mail settings for BigPond (Telstra) email, you'll need to configure your email client or mobile device to connect to BigPond's email servers. Here are the general settings:
Incoming Mail Server:
- Server name: mail.telstra.com
- Port: 995 (SSL/TLS)
- Authentication: Password
Outgoing Mail Server:
- Server name: mail.telstra.com
- Port: 587 (TLS) or 25 (unencrypted)
- Authentication: Password
Additional Settings:
- Username: Your BigPond email address (e.g., [yourname]@bigpond.com)
- Password: Your BigPond email password
- IMAP or POP3: You can use either IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) or POP3 (Post Office Protocol version 3) to retrieve your email. IMAP is recommended as it allows you to access your email from multiple devices and keep your email synchronized across all devices.
