BigPond Mail!
BigPond Mail was a popular email service provided by Telstra, one of Australia's largest telecommunications companies. It was launched in 2001 and was a free email service that allowed users to create an email address with a @bigpond.com domain.
BigPond Mail offered a range of features, including:
- Free email accounts with a @bigpond.com domain
- Web-based email access
- POP3 and IMAP access for email clients
- Spam and virus filtering
- Large storage capacity (up to 2GB)
- Integration with other Telstra services, such as BigPond Broadband and Telstra Mobile
In 2014, Telstra announced that it would be retiring the BigPond brand and replacing it with a new brand, Telstra Mail. As a result, BigPond Mail was rebranded as Telstra Mail, and existing BigPond Mail users were migrated to the new service.
Today, Telstra Mail is still available, offering many of the same features as BigPond Mail, including free email accounts, web-based access, and integration with other Telstra services. However, the BigPond brand is no longer used, and the service is now known as Telstra Mail.
If you're a BigPond Mail user, you can still access your email account using the Telstra Mail website or mobile app.
