Bigpond mail settings outlook 2003

A blast from the past! Here are the BigPond Mail settings for Outlook 2003:

Incoming Mail Server:

• Server name: mail.bigpond.com
• Port: 110 (POP3) or 995 (SSL/TLS)

Outgoing Mail Server:

• Server name: mail.bigpond.com
• Port: 25 (SMTP) or 587 (TLS)

Username and Password:

• Your BigPond email address (e.g., [yourname]@bigpond.com)
• Your BigPond email password

Additional Settings:

• Leave a copy of messages on the server: Yes (if you want to keep a copy of your emails on the BigPond server)
• Remove messages from server: Yes (if you want to delete emails from the BigPond server after downloading them to Outlook)

SSL/TLS Settings:

• Use a secure connection (SSL): Yes
• Authentication: Password

POP3 Settings:

• Leave a copy of messages on the server: Yes
• Remove messages from server: Yes

SMTP Settings:

• Authentication: Password
• Use a secure connection (TLS): Yes

To set up BigPond Mail in Outlook 2003:

1. Open Outlook 2003 and go to Tools > Account Settings.
2. Click on "New" to create a new email account.
3. Select "Internet E-mail" and click "Next".
4. Enter your name, email address, and password.
5. Click "Next" and select "POP3" as the account type.
6. Enter the incoming and outgoing mail server settings as mentioned above.
7. Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.
