Bigpond mail settings outlook 2003
A blast from the past! Here are the BigPond Mail settings for Outlook 2003:
Incoming Mail Server:
- Server name: mail.bigpond.com
- Port: 110 (POP3) or 995 (SSL/TLS)
Outgoing Mail Server:
- Server name: mail.bigpond.com
- Port: 25 (SMTP) or 587 (TLS)
Username and Password:
- Your BigPond email address (e.g., [yourname]@bigpond.com)
- Your BigPond email password
Additional Settings:
- Leave a copy of messages on the server: Yes (if you want to keep a copy of your emails on the BigPond server)
- Remove messages from server: Yes (if you want to delete emails from the BigPond server after downloading them to Outlook)
SSL/TLS Settings:
- Use a secure connection (SSL): Yes
- Authentication: Password
POP3 Settings:
- Leave a copy of messages on the server: Yes
- Remove messages from server: Yes
SMTP Settings:
- Authentication: Password
- Use a secure connection (TLS): Yes
To set up BigPond Mail in Outlook 2003:
- Open Outlook 2003 and go to Tools > Account Settings.
- Click on "New" to create a new email account.
- Select "Internet E-mail" and click "Next".
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- Click "Next" and select "POP3" as the account type.
- Enter the incoming and outgoing mail server settings as mentioned above.
- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.
