Blind copy email

A "blind copy" or "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy) is a feature in email clients that allows you to send an email to multiple recipients without including their email addresses in the "To" or "CC" fields. This means that the recipients will not see each other's email addresses, and only the sender will know who else received the email.

Here are some common uses of BCC:

  1. Mass emails: When sending a large number of emails to people who don't know each other, BCC is a convenient way to avoid cluttering the "To" field with a long list of email addresses.
  2. Confidentiality: In some cases, you may want to send an email to multiple people without revealing their email addresses to each other. For example, if you're sending a confidential document or a sensitive message.
  3. Avoiding spam filters: Some email providers may flag emails with a large number of recipients in the "To" field as spam. Using BCC can help avoid this issue.

To use BCC in most email clients, follow these steps:

  1. Open your email client and compose a new email.
  2. Enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to send the email to in the "BCC" field.
  3. Make sure to check the "BCC" box or select the "BCC" option from the menu.
  4. Enter the subject line and compose your email as usual.
  5. Send the email.

Note that some email clients may have slightly different procedures for using BCC. Additionally, some email providers may have restrictions on using BCC, so it's always a good idea to check your email provider's policies before using this feature.
