Block contact on gmail
To block a contact on Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Block a contact from the contact list
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Contacts" button in the top navigation bar.
- Find the contact you want to block in your contact list.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to their name.
- Select "Block [Name]" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the contact by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Block a contact from an email
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Open the email from the contact you want to block.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to the "Reply" button.
- Select "Block [Name]" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the contact by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 3: Block a contact from the Gmail settings
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" section.
- Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
- Enter the contact's email address in the "From" field.
- Select "Block" as the action.
- Click "Create" to save the filter.
Once you block a contact, they will no longer be able to send you emails, and any emails they send to you will be automatically marked as spam. Note that blocking a contact does not delete their email address or any emails they have sent to you.
