Block email imac mail
To block an email address in Mail on your iMac, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Block an email address from a specific sender
- Open Mail on your iMac.
- Click on the "Mail" menu and select "Preferences".
- Click on the "Rules" tab.
- Click on the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window.
- Select "Move Message" from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the folder you want to move the email to (e.g. "Junk Mail").
- Click on the "Add" button.
- In the "Apply the rule to" section, select "From" and enter the email address you want to block.
- Click "OK" to save the rule.
Method 2: Block an email address from the email itself
- Open Mail on your iMac.
- Select the email you want to block.
- Click on the "Junk" button in the top right corner of the email window.
- Click on "Block this sender" from the drop-down menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 3: Block an email address using the "Mark as Junk Mail" feature
- Open Mail on your iMac.
- Select the email you want to block.
- Click on the "Mark" button in the top right corner of the email window.
- Select "Mark as Junk Mail" from the drop-down menu.
- Click "Mark" to mark the email as junk mail.
- Mail will automatically move the email to the "Junk Mail" folder and block future emails from the same sender.
Note: If you're using iCloud Mail, you can also block an email address by going to the "Mail" settings on your iPhone or iPad, selecting the email account, and then tapping "Blocked Senders".
