Block email in gmail

Here are the steps to block an email in Gmail:

Method 1: Block an email from a specific sender

  1. Open your Gmail inbox and find the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Block [sender's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.

Method 2: Block an email from a specific domain

  1. Open your Gmail inbox and find the email from the domain you want to block (e.g., @example.com).
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Block [domain name]" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to block the domain by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.

Method 3: Block an email using Gmail's filters

  1. Go to your Gmail settings by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
  2. Click on "Filters and Blocked Addresses" from the menu.
  3. Click on "Create a new filter" at the top of the page.
  4. Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
  5. Click "Create filter" and select "Block" from the dropdown menu.
  6. Confirm that you want to block the email by clicking "Create" in the pop-up window.

Note: When you block an email, it will be moved to the "Spam" folder and you won't receive any further emails from that sender or domain. If you want to unblock an email, you can go to your Gmail settings, click on "Filters and Blocked Addresses", and select "Unblock" next to the blocked email address or domain.
