Block mail id in outlook
In Outlook, you can block a sender's email address to prevent them from sending you emails. Here's how:
Method 1: Block sender's email address using the Junk Email Filter
- Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Junk" button in the "Move" group.
- Select "Junk Email Options" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Junk Email Options" window, click on the "Safe Senders" tab.
- Click on "Add" and enter the email address you want to block.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Method 2: Block sender's email address using the "Block" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Home" button in the "Move" group.
- Right-click on the email from the sender you want to block.
- Select "Block" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "OK".
Method 3: Block sender's email address using the "Rules" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "File" tab.
- Click on "Manage Rules & Alerts" from the left-hand menu.
- Click on "New Rule" and select "Start from a blank rule".
- Choose "Move messages from someone to the specified folder" and click "Next".
- Enter the email address you want to block and click "OK".
- Choose the folder you want to move the blocked emails to (e.g. "Junk Email") and click "Next".
- Name the rule and click "Finish".
Once you've blocked a sender's email address, any future emails from that sender will be automatically moved to the "Junk Email" folder or deleted, depending on your settings.
Note: If you're using Outlook.com, you can block a sender's email address by clicking on the "..." menu next to the email and selecting "Block" from the dropdown menu.
