Block mail in google gmail
Blocking mail in Google Gmail allows you to prevent specific senders from sending you emails. Here's how to do it:
Method 1: Block a sender using the "Block" button
- Open your Gmail inbox.
- Open the email from the sender you want to block.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Block [sender's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Block a sender using the "Report spam" feature
- Open your Gmail inbox.
- Open the email from the sender you want to block.
- Click on the "Report spam" button at the top of the email.
- Confirm that you want to report the email as spam by clicking "Report spam" in the pop-up window.
- Gmail will automatically block the sender's email address.
Method 3: Block a sender using the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" feature
- Open your Gmail settings by clicking on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page.
- Click on "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter" at the bottom of the page.
- Enter the sender's email address in the "From" field.
- Select "Block" as the action.
- Click "Create filter" to apply the filter.
Note: When you block a sender, Gmail will automatically move any future emails from that sender to the "Spam" folder. If you want to unblock a sender, you can go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab and edit the filter to remove the block.
