Block senders in mail
Blocking senders in email can help you reduce spam and unwanted emails. Here's how to do it in popular email clients:
Gmail
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter."
- Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
- Click "Create filter."
- Select "Block" as the action.
- Click "Create."
Outlook
- Log in to your Outlook account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "View all Outlook settings."
- Go to the "Mail" tab.
- Click on "Blocked senders."
- Click on "Add" and enter the email address or domain you want to block.
- Click "Add."
Yahoo Mail
- Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "More settings."
- Go to the "Filters" tab.
- Click on "Add filter."
- Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
- Select "Block" as the action.
- Click "Save."
AOL Mail
- Log in to your AOL Mail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "Settings."
- Go to the "Filters" tab.
- Click on "Add filter."
- Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
- Select "Block" as the action.
- Click "Save."
Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird and go to the "Tools" menu.
- Select "Account Settings."
- Click on the "Filters" tab.
- Click on "New Filter."
- Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
- Select "Block" as the action.
- Click "OK."
Remember to always be cautious when blocking senders, as you may inadvertently block legitimate emails. If you're unsure about a sender, you can always mark the email as spam instead of blocking the sender.
