Block senders in mail

Blocking senders in email can help you reduce spam and unwanted emails. Here's how to do it in popular email clients:

Gmail

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on "Create a new filter."
  5. Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
  6. Click "Create filter."
  7. Select "Block" as the action.
  8. Click "Create."

Outlook

  1. Log in to your Outlook account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "View all Outlook settings."
  3. Go to the "Mail" tab.
  4. Click on "Blocked senders."
  5. Click on "Add" and enter the email address or domain you want to block.
  6. Click "Add."

Yahoo Mail

  1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "More settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters" tab.
  4. Click on "Add filter."
  5. Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
  6. Select "Block" as the action.
  7. Click "Save."

AOL Mail

  1. Log in to your AOL Mail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "Settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters" tab.
  4. Click on "Add filter."
  5. Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
  6. Select "Block" as the action.
  7. Click "Save."

Thunderbird

  1. Open Thunderbird and go to the "Tools" menu.
  2. Select "Account Settings."
  3. Click on the "Filters" tab.
  4. Click on "New Filter."
  5. Enter the email address or domain you want to block in the "From" field.
  6. Select "Block" as the action.
  7. Click "OK."

Remember to always be cautious when blocking senders, as you may inadvertently block legitimate emails. If you're unsure about a sender, you can always mark the email as spam instead of blocking the sender.
