The joys of managing spam in Apple Mail!

To block senders in Apple Mail, follow these steps:

Method 1: Block a sender from a specific email

  1. Open Apple Mail and select the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the "Junk" menu and select "Block [Sender's Email]". This will add the sender's email address to your Blocked Senders list.

Method 2: Block a sender from the Blocked Senders list

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to "Mail" > "Preferences" > "Junk Mail".
  2. Click on the "Blocked Senders" tab.
  3. Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window.
  4. Enter the email address of the sender you want to block and click "OK".

Method 3: Block a sender from a specific domain

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to "Mail" > "Preferences" > "Junk Mail".
  2. Click on the "Blocked Senders" tab.
  3. Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window.
  4. Enter the domain name (e.g., @example.com) and click "OK".

Note: When you block a sender, Apple Mail will automatically move any future emails from that sender to the "Junk" mailbox. If you want to unblock a sender, you can go back to the Blocked Senders list and select the sender's email address, then click the "-" button to remove it from the list.

Additionally, you can also use the "Mark as Junk" feature to help Apple Mail learn to recognize and block spam emails. To do this:

  1. Open Apple Mail and select the email you want to mark as junk.
  2. Click on the "Junk" menu and select "Mark as Junk".
  3. Apple Mail will then move the email to the "Junk" mailbox and use it to improve its spam filtering.

By following these steps, you should be able to effectively block unwanted senders in Apple Mail and reduce the amount of spam you receive.
