A blast from the past!

The Blois Olson email header is a reference to a humorous email exchange between Blois Olson, a Minnesota political consultant, and his friend, Tony Sutton, the former chairman of the Minnesota Republican Party.

In 2010, Olson sent an email to Sutton with a subject line that read: "From: Blois Olson [email protected] To: Tony Sutton [email protected] Subject: Fwd: From: Blois Olson [email protected] To: Tony Sutton [email protected] Subject:"

The email was a recursive loop, where the "From" and "To" fields were identical, and the subject line was a repetition of the same email header. The email was meant as a joke, but it ended up causing confusion and was widely shared online.

The Blois Olson email header has since become a meme and a symbol of the absurdity of email headers.
