Blue mail spam filter

The eternal struggle against spam!

Blue Mail, a popular email client, has a built-in spam filter to help you manage unwanted emails. Here's how to use it:

Enabling the Spam Filter

  1. Open Blue Mail on your device.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) on the top left corner.
  3. Go to Settings > Spam Filter.
  4. Toggle the switch next to "Enable Spam Filter" to the right (green).

Customizing the Spam Filter

  1. In the Spam Filter settings, you can adjust the sensitivity of the filter by moving the slider. A higher sensitivity will catch more spam, but may also flag some legitimate emails as spam.
  2. You can also add specific email addresses or domains to the "Whitelist" or "Blacklist" to help the filter learn what is and isn't spam.
  3. If you want to report a false positive (a legitimate email marked as spam), tap the "Report as Not Spam" button in the email's context menu.

Managing Spam Emails

  1. When an email is marked as spam, it will be moved to the "Spam" folder.
  2. You can manually move emails from the "Spam" folder to the "Inbox" if you're sure they're legitimate.
  3. To permanently delete spam emails, swipe left on the email and tap "Delete".

Tips to Improve the Spam Filter

  1. Mark legitimate emails as "Not Spam" to help the filter learn what's not spam.
  2. Report false positives to help the filter improve its accuracy.
  3. Keep your email client and operating system up to date to ensure you have the latest security patches and features.

By following these steps and tips, you can effectively use Blue Mail's spam filter to reduce the amount of unwanted emails in your inbox.
