Bluehost mail settings for gmail

To set up your Bluehost email account with Gmail, you'll need to configure your email client to use the correct settings. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Enable IMAP in your Bluehost account

  1. Log in to your Bluehost account.
  2. Click on the "Email" tab.
  3. Click on the "Settings" icon (looks like a gear) next to your email account.
  4. Scroll down to the "Advanced" section.
  5. Click on the "IMAP" toggle button to enable IMAP.

Step 2: Configure your Gmail account

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select "See all settings".
  4. Click on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
  5. Scroll down to the "IMAP Access" section.
  6. Make sure the "Enable IMAP" toggle button is turned on.

Step 3: Configure your email client

  1. Open your email client (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, Thunderbird).
  2. Go to the "Settings" or "Preferences" section.
  3. Click on the "Accounts" or "Email" tab.
  4. Click on the "Add account" or "New account" button.
  5. Select "Other email provider" or "Manual setup".
  6. Enter the following settings:

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

Step 4: Test your email account

  1. Send an email from your Bluehost email account to yourself or another email address.
  2. Check your Gmail account to see if the email was received successfully.
