Bt email settings for windows mail

Here are the BT email settings for Windows Mail:

Incoming Mail Server:

• Server name: imap.bt.com
• Port: 993
• Encryption: SSL/TLS
• Authentication: Password

Outgoing Mail Server:

• Server name: smtp.bt.com
• Port: 587
• Encryption: STARTTLS
• Authentication: Password

Username and Password:

• Your BT email address (e.g. [yourname]@btinternet.com)
• Your BT email password

Additional Settings:

• Leave a copy of messages on the server: Yes
• Remove messages from server: No
• Check for new messages every: [choose a time interval]

To set up your BT email account in Windows Mail, follow these steps:

1. Open Windows Mail and click on "Accounts" in the top menu bar.
2. Click on "Add" and then select "Email".
3. Enter your name and email address, and then click "Next".
4. Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
5. Select "Internet Email" and click "Next".
6. Enter the incoming and outgoing mail server settings as above.
7. Enter your username and password, and then click "Next".
8. Review the settings and click "Finish" to complete the setup.
