Btinternet windows live mail settings
Here are the settings for BT Internet's Windows Live Mail:
Incoming Mail Server:
- Server name: pop.btinternet.com
- Port: 110
- Username: Your BT Internet email address (e.g. [yourname]@btinternet.com)
- Password: Your BT Internet email password
Outgoing Mail Server:
- Server name: smtp.btinternet.com
- Port: 587
- Username: Your BT Internet email address (e.g. [yourname]@btinternet.com)
- Password: Your BT Internet email password
Additional Settings:
- Authentication: Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing mail servers.
- SSL/TLS: Enable SSL/TLS encryption for both incoming and outgoing mail servers.
- Authentication method: Use the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" option.
Windows Live Mail Settings:
- Open Windows Live Mail.
- Click on "File" > "Account Settings" > "Account".
- Click on "Add" and select "Email Account".
- Enter your BT Internet email address and password.
- Click on "Next" and select "Manual setup or additional server types".
- Select "POP3" as the incoming mail server type.
- Enter the incoming mail server settings as above.
- Select "SMTP" as the outgoing mail server type.
- Enter the outgoing mail server settings as above.
- Click on "Next" and then "Finish".
That's it! Your Windows Live Mail should now be set up to connect to your BT Internet email account.
