Can't find where i put my mail password in thunderbird
Don't worry! Losing track of passwords can be frustrating. Here are some steps to help you find your mail password in Thunderbird:
- Check your Thunderbird account settings: Open Thunderbird and go to Tools > Account Settings. Click on the account you're having trouble with and look for the Password or Password Manager section. If you have saved your password, it should be displayed here.
- Check your Thunderbird password manager: Thunderbird uses a built-in password manager to store your passwords. To access it, go to Tools > Options > Security > Password Manager. Click on the Show Passwords button to view all stored passwords, including your mail password.
- Check your system password manager: If you use a system-wide password manager like LastPass, 1Password, or Dashlane, check if you have stored your Thunderbird password there.
- Check your browser password manager: If you use a browser like Firefox or Chrome, check if you have stored your Thunderbird password in the browser's password manager.
- Try recovering your password: If you can't find your password, you can try recovering it using Thunderbird's built-in password recovery feature. To do this, go to Tools > Account Settings > Account Actions > Recover Password.
- Reset your password: If you're unable to recover your password, you can try resetting it. Go to Tools > Account Settings > Account Actions > Reset Password. This will prompt you to enter a new password.
If none of these steps help, you may need to contact your email provider or IT department for assistance.
