- In the Folder Options window, click on the "View" tab.
- Under "Advanced settings," uncheck the box next to "Use one folder for all accounts."

- Now, you should be able to rename the storage folders by right-clicking on the folder and selecting "Rename."
Method 2: Using the Windows Explorer
- Open Windows Explorer (File Explorer in Windows 10).
- Navigate to the location where your Windows Live Mail storage folders are stored (usually
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Email
). - Right-click on the folder you want to rename and select "Rename."
- Type in the new name and press Enter.
Method 3: Using the Registry Editor (Advanced)
- Open the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
- Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Email
- Find the subkey that corresponds to the folder you want to rename (e.g.,
Inbox
,Sent Items
, etc.). - Right-click on the subkey and select "Rename."
- Type in the new name and press Enter.
Additional Tips:
- Make sure you have administrative privileges to rename the folders.
- If you're using Windows Live Mail 2012 or earlier, you might need to use the "Folder Options" method.
- If you're still having trouble, try restarting Windows Live Mail or even restarting your computer.
