Can druids do scale mail

In Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, druids are a class that focuses on nature, magic, and shape-shifting. They are not typically associated with armor, including scale mail.

According to the Player's Handbook, druids are proficient with natural armor, which means they have a base Armor Class (AC) that is determined by their size, type, and Constitution score. They do not have proficiency with metal armor, including scale mail.

In fact, the druid's connection to nature and their ability to shape-shift into various animal forms makes them less likely to wear metal armor. Instead, they often rely on their natural armor, agility, and magical abilities to protect themselves in combat.

That being said, there is no mechanical restriction that prevents a druid from wearing scale mail if they choose to do so. However, it would likely be out of character for a druid to wear metal armor, as it would go against their connection to nature and their focus on using their abilities to protect themselves and the natural world.

If you're playing a druid and want to wear scale mail, you could certainly do so, but it would be important to consider how it fits with your character's backstory, personality, and role in the party.
