Can i access my outlook mail from windows live email

Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail) and Windows Live Mail are two separate email services, and they are not directly connected. However, there are a few ways you can access your Outlook.com email account from Windows Live Mail:

  1. Web-based access: You can access your Outlook.com email account by logging in to the Outlook.com website using your email address and password. From there, you can access your email, contacts, and other features.
  2. Outlook.com app: You can download the Outlook.com app from the Microsoft Store (for Windows 10) or the App Store (for iOS and Android). Once installed, you can sign in to your Outlook.com account and access your email from the app.
  3. IMAP/POP3 access: If you have a Windows Live Mail account, you can set up IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) or POP3 (Post Office Protocol version 3) access to your Outlook.com account. This will allow you to access your Outlook.com email from within Windows Live Mail. Here's how:
    • Go to Windows Live Mail and click on "File" > "Account Settings" > "Email Accounts".
    • Click on "New" and select "Manual setup or additional server types".
    • Choose "Internet Email" and enter your Outlook.com email address and password.
    • Set the incoming mail server to "imap-mail.outlook.com" (IMAP) or "pop-mail.outlook.com" (POP3).
    • Set the outgoing mail server to "smtp-mail.outlook.com".
    • Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.

Note that you may need to configure additional settings, such as the port numbers and authentication methods, depending on your email client and internet connection.

Keep in mind that while you can access your Outlook.com email from Windows Live Mail, you may not be able to access all the features and functionality of Outlook.com from within Windows Live Mail.
