Can i put return to sender on mail

The classic "Return to Sender" conundrum!

In the United States, the United States Postal Service (USPS) allows you to return mail to the sender using a process called "Return to Sender" or "RTS." Here are the general guidelines:

Eligibility: You can return mail to the sender if:

  1. The mail is undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address.
  2. The mail is returned to you by the USPS with a notation indicating that it was unable to be delivered.
  3. You are the original sender and want to return the mail to yourself.

How to return mail to sender:

  1. Mark the mail as "Return to Sender": Use a pen to write "Return to Sender" or "RTS" on the front of the envelope or package.
  2. Attach a new address label (if necessary): If the original address label is incorrect or incomplete, you can attach a new label with the correct address.
  3. Take the mail to a post office: Bring the marked mail to a USPS post office and give it to a postal clerk. They will scan the mail and return it to the sender.
  4. Pay any applicable fees: You may need to pay a fee for returning the mail, depending on the type of mail and the reason for return.

Important notes:

Remember to always follow USPS guidelines and regulations when returning mail to the sender. If you're unsure about the process or have questions, you can contact your local post office or visit the USPS website for more information.
