Can i use stamps on a 6x9 bubble mailer

The eternal question!

In general, it's not recommended to use traditional postage stamps on a 6x9 bubble mailer because of the following reasons:

  1. Size: Stamps are designed for smaller envelopes, and the adhesive on the stamp might not be strong enough to hold onto the larger surface area of a 6x9 bubble mailer.
  2. Weight: Bubble mailers are often used for heavier items, and the weight of the contents can cause the stamp to lift or fall off during transit.
  3. Adhesive: The adhesive on stamps is designed to bond with paper, not plastic or bubble mailer material. The adhesive might not stick well to the bubble mailer, causing the stamp to peel off or not stick at all.

Instead, you have a few options:

  1. Use a larger stamp: If you can find a larger stamp specifically designed for larger envelopes or packages, it might work. However, these stamps are not as common as regular stamps.
  2. Use a postage label: You can purchase postage labels or stickers that are designed for larger envelopes and packages. These labels are usually made of a stronger adhesive and are more suitable for heavier items.
  3. Use a postage meter or scale: If you have a postage meter or scale, you can print a postage label directly onto the bubble mailer. This is a convenient and reliable option.
  4. Use a shipping service: If you're sending a package via a shipping service like USPS, UPS, or FedEx, you can use their pre-paid shipping labels or print your own labels using their online tools.

Remember to always check with your local post office or shipping carrier for specific guidelines on using stamps on larger envelopes and packages.
