Can inmates on jpay see when you read their mail

According to the JPay website, inmates can see when you read their mail, but only under certain circumstances. Here's what they say:

"When you send a message to an inmate, you will have the option to mark it as "read" or "unread". If you mark it as "read", the inmate will be able to see that you have read the message. If you mark it as "unread", the inmate will not be able to see that you have read the message."

So, if you want to keep your reading habits private, you can simply mark the message as "unread" after reading it. This way, the inmate won't be able to see that you've read their mail.

It's worth noting that JPay also has a feature called "Message Tracking", which allows you to see when the inmate has read your message. However, this feature is only available for messages that are marked as "read" by the sender (i.e., you).

Overall, it seems that JPay provides a reasonable level of privacy for both senders and recipients of messages, while still allowing inmates to know when their mail has been read.
