Can not read junk mail mac mail

The frustration of dealing with junk mail in your Mac Mail inbox!

There are a few ways to tackle this issue:

  1. Mark as Junk: You can quickly mark an email as junk by selecting it and clicking the "Junk" button in the toolbar or using the keyboard shortcut ⌘ + J. This will move the email to the "Junk" folder.
  2. Use the Junk Mail Filter: Mac Mail has a built-in junk mail filter that can help automatically move unwanted emails to the "Junk" folder. To enable this filter:
    • Go to Mail > Preferences > Junk Mail.
    • Select the "Enable junk mail filtering" checkbox.
    • Choose the level of filtering you prefer: "Strict", "Moderate", or "Relaxed".
  3. Use a Third-Party Spam Filter: There are many third-party spam filters available that can help block junk mail from reaching your inbox. Some popular options include:
    • SpamSieve: A popular spam filter that integrates with Mac Mail.
    • SpamAssassin: A free, open-source spam filter that can be used with Mac Mail.
  4. Report Junk Mail: If you receive an email that you're certain is spam, you can report it to Apple by selecting the email and clicking "Report Junk" in the toolbar. This helps Apple's algorithms improve their junk mail filtering.
  5. Unsubscribe from Junk Mail: If you're receiving junk mail from a specific sender, try unsubscribing from their mailing list. You can usually find an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email.
  6. Use a Disposable Email Address: Consider using a disposable email address (like 10 Minute Mail or Mailinator) when signing up for services or newsletters that you're not sure about. This can help keep your primary email address clean.

By combining these methods, you should be able to reduce the amount of junk mail in your Mac Mail inbox.
