Can send phot attachment through ggogle mail but not thunderbird

That's frustrating!

There are a few possible reasons why you might not be able to send a photo attachment through Thunderbird:

  1. File size limit: Thunderbird has a file size limit for attachments, which is typically 10-20 MB. If your photo is larger than this limit, you might not be able to send it. You can try compressing the photo to reduce its size.
  2. MIME type: Thunderbird might not be able to recognize the MIME type of your photo attachment. This could be due to a misconfigured email client or a corrupted attachment. Try re-saving the photo in a different format (e.g., JPEG instead of PNG) or re-adding the attachment.
  3. SMTP server settings: Thunderbird's SMTP server settings might not be configured correctly, which could prevent attachments from being sent. Check your SMTP server settings and ensure they are correct.
  4. Firewall or antivirus software: Your firewall or antivirus software might be blocking the attachment. Try temporarily disabling these programs to see if it resolves the issue.
  5. Thunderbird add-ons: Some Thunderbird add-ons might interfere with attachment sending. Try disabling any recently installed add-ons to see if it resolves the issue.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following:

  1. Check the Thunderbird error log: Go to Tools > Error Console, and look for any error messages related to attachment sending.
  2. Try sending a smaller attachment: If you're sending a large attachment, try reducing its size to see if it sends successfully.
  3. Check your email account settings: Ensure that your email account settings are correct, including the SMTP server settings and authentication details.
  4. Try sending the attachment through a different email client: If you're able to send the attachment through Google Mail, try sending it through a different email client (e.g., Microsoft Outlook) to see if the issue is specific to Thunderbird.

If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, you can try seeking help from the Thunderbird community or a technical support forum.
