Can the windows narrator read new mail alerts

By default, the Windows Narrator does not read new mail alerts. However, you can configure the Narrator to read new mail notifications using the following steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Narrator.
  2. Toggle the switch next to "Narrator" to the "On" position.
  3. Click on the "Settings" button next to "Narrator" and select "Audio".
  4. Under "Audio", toggle the switch next to "Play notifications" to the "On" position.
  5. Under "Audio", toggle the switch next to "Play new mail notifications" to the "On" position.

Alternatively, you can also use the Windows 10 Mail app's built-in feature to read new mail notifications aloud. To do this:

  1. Open the Mail app.
  2. Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear) in the top right corner of the window.
  3. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Notifications" section.
  5. Toggle the switch next to "Read new mail aloud" to the "On" position.

Once you've enabled this feature, the Mail app will read new mail notifications aloud when they arrive.
