Can we block someone in mail

Yes, you can block someone in Mail (the email client on your iPhone or iPad) if you're receiving unwanted emails or messages from them. Here's how:

Blocking an email address in Mail:

  1. Open the Mail app on your device.
  2. Go to the "Mailboxes" tab and select the mailbox where you want to block the sender.
  3. Find the email from the sender you want to block and swipe left on it.
  4. Tap "Block This Contact" from the menu that appears.
  5. Confirm that you want to block the sender by tapping "Block" in the pop-up alert.

Once you've blocked a sender, any future emails from that address will be automatically moved to the "Junk" mailbox, and you won't receive notifications for those emails.

Blocking a contact in Mail:

  1. Open the Mail app on your device.
  2. Go to the "Contacts" tab.
  3. Find the contact you want to block and swipe left on their name.
  4. Tap "Block This Contact" from the menu that appears.
  5. Confirm that you want to block the contact by tapping "Block" in the pop-up alert.

When you block a contact, you'll no longer receive emails or messages from that person, and you won't be able to send emails to them either.

Note: Blocking a sender or contact in Mail doesn't prevent them from sending you emails or messages through other email clients or services. If you're experiencing harassment or spam, you may want to report the issue to your email provider or the relevant authorities.
