Method 1: Through the e-filing portal

2. Click on the "Profile Settings" tab.
3. Click on the "Update Email ID" button.
4. Enter your new email ID and confirm it by re-entering it in the "Confirm Email ID" field.
5. Click on the "Submit" button.

Method 2: Through the Aadhaar-VID (Virtual ID) process

1. Log in to your e-filing account on the Income Tax India website (www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in).
2. Click on the "Profile Settings" tab.
3. Click on the "Update Email ID" button.
4. Click on the "Update Email ID using Aadhaar-VID" button.
5. Enter your Aadhaar number and verify it using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

• You can change your email ID only once in a financial year.
