Can you edit comment on the daily mail website

The Daily Mail website allows users to comment on articles, but the ability to edit comments is limited. Here's what you can do:

  1. Editing your own comment: If you've made a mistake or want to correct a typo in your own comment, you can edit it within a certain time frame (usually a few hours). To do this:
    • Log in to your Daily Mail account or create one if you don't have one.
    • Go to the article with your comment.
    • Click on the three dots next to your comment.
    • Select "Edit comment" from the dropdown menu.
    • Make your changes and click "Save".
  2. Requesting a comment edit: If you're unable to edit your own comment, you can request an edit from the Daily Mail moderators. To do this:
    • Log in to your Daily Mail account or create one if you don't have one.
    • Go to the article with your comment.
    • Click on the three dots next to your comment.
    • Select "Report comment" from the dropdown menu.
    • Fill out the report form, explaining why you want to edit your comment (e.g., typo, mistake, etc.).
    • Submit the report.
    • The Daily Mail moderators will review your request and may contact you if they need more information.
  3. Deleting a comment: If you want to delete your comment entirely, you can do so by following the same steps as above, but select "Delete comment" instead of "Edit comment".

Please note that the Daily Mail reserves the right to remove or edit comments at their discretion, and they may not always be able to accommodate requests to edit or delete comments.
